Symptoms and Treatment of Oral Yeast Infections

Yeast can be found in many places of our body such as our digestive system, skin, vagina, and mouth. It is a naturally occurring substance in the body that is normally kept regulated in the body. However, sometimes you can get oral yeast infections, which happens when the yeast numbers get out of control in the body.

The main symptom that is often experienced when a person has oral yeast infections is a white coating around the inside of the mouth. This white coating will usually have a yeasty smell, and when it is scraped away, red tissue will be underneath. In certain cases, the tissue under the white coating might even be bleeding. This coating can often appear patchy, or it can be a solid coating over the inside of the mouth.
