Preventing Yeast Infections is Easy

Preventing yeast infections is sure a lot easier and way more pleasant than treating them.  The symptoms, which vary in type, intensity and location can vary from person to person, but suffice to say they are unpleasant and unsightly.  There are a few things you can do to prevent a yeast infection and they are really easy to implement.

First and foremost know that yeast live on sugar.  They live on sugar that you consume in the form of sugar, and they live on foods that break down into simple sugars.  Flours, especially white flour, are the equivalent of sugar, so take this into account when assessing your diet.  Many people who have to be literally sugar free and nearly carbohydrate free in order to keep their yeast in check.  Others simply ensure they balance a low sugar diet with probiotics during times of high sugar intake.
