Understanding Recurrent Yeast Infection

If you have recurrent yeast infection then it is important that you understand as much as possible about the condition.  This infection is unpleasant because it causes a lot of discomfort.  There is nothing worse than having to ignore vaginal itching and burning at work or when in public.  Reacting by scratching is only temporary relief and scratching is only going to make it more unbearable.  An infection that keeps flaring up encroaches on your intimate relationship with your partner because sexual intercourse becomes painful.

There is another symptom of recurrent yeast infection that often causes confusion.  This symptom is painful urination.  Many women think they have a urinary tract infection because it hurts when they urinate.  It is important to know the difference between the two.  A yeast infection causes pain when the urine touches the infected skin of the vaginal area.  The pain from a urinary tract infection is felt as the urine travels down through the tract.  Because both a yeast infection and urinary tract infection can be recurring it is necessary to know which you have.
