I’ve only had one yeast infection in my entire life and, while experiencing it, I can tell you the only thing on my mind was curing yeast infections – not learning more about them. I wanted instant relief and I can’t imagine I’m alone, since the discomfort is out of this world. Hopefully these tips can help you find quick relief and even better- a quick treatment that happens to be natural, easy and effective.
You can soak in a bath but you need to add baking soda. Just dump a box under running water, add enough water so you can sit in it and soak until the water cools off. The trick here is that you have to dry yourself off very well. Yeast likes water and dampness so, while this might sound a bit unconventional, consider drying yourself off with a blow dryer (not your entire body- just where you have a yeast infection!). Many people who have to be literally sugar free and nearly carbohydrate free in order to keep their yeast in check. Others simply ensure they balance a low sugar diet with probiotics during times of high sugar intake.

If you have gone to the store looking for different yeast infection creams then you certainly weren’t disappointed. The last time I looked at my local pharmacy there were a myriad of choices and I was irritated. I was irritated because I had a yeast infection for goodness sake and even more irritated there wasn’t a clear cut answer for treatment. It was then I realized I was a consumer, not a patient, in my current role and that I needed to think like one. So I walked over to the pharmacist, who has no stake in my decision, to find out what the deal was on yeast infection creams…
Turns out I didn’t even end up buying one. I decided to use probiotics after listening to the pharmacist and adding it to what I already knew. You may choose to buy a cream and if you do, know that the options have subtle differences. So do natural treatments by the way; you have to make sure a probiotics is potent and contains billions of bacteria, not only thousands of colonies.

In order to understand why you have a yeast infection of the mouth you need to know a little bit about how your body works. This way you’ll have the knowledge and know how to choose the best treatment, prevent future infections and perhaps even help other people.
A yeast infection of the mouth is also known as ‘thrush’. Thrush looks like a white lumpy coating on the tongue. This white layer is yeast that has overgrown. What you need to consider is that your tongue is a part of larger system; the digestive system and, if you have yeast overgrowth coming out of your tongue, you can bet you have an entire digestive tract full of yeast as well.
